Once the baby discovers his/her hands and starts to figure out how they work, a world of learning awaits them. By the age of 6–8 months, the baby will develop enough hand coordination to be able to shift toys from one hand to another more easily.
They learn to examine them as they transfer objects from hand to hand, turn them from side to side, and twist them upside down. At this point, wooden teething toys are perfect as the elasticity of the toy encourages the child to use both hands.
Your baby will enjoy rolling and twisting the beads, which will help develop the child’s hand-eye coordination and finger grasp. The beads can also be hung using a ribbon, above the baby’s floor bed, from a mobile hanger or ceiling hook, so the baby can grasp the beads which provide great tactile stimulation.
The baby also learns the concept of cause and effect with the wooden clasping beads as he tries to move his hands to bat at them. It makes a great teething toy as well.
